Sweet Boy
While reading a book together, Matthew said, "Mommy, I'm your angel. And you're my heart."
Little One's Help
Thea was so thoughtful today, I had to make note of it. I was folding her laundry and without being asked she ran it to her room to put it away.

Trip to Cincinnati
This year's Fourth of July weekend was spent visiting our best friends in Cincinnati. So great to be with great friends. Here are some pics from the trip:
Without first asking Mike if he wanted to take a dip in the really cold water, I asked the kids if they wanted to see Daddy cannon ball. You know what the answer was.
I continued to ask them if they wanted to see Daddy do it again. Like ten more times.
Parade time:
Matthew has his hand on his heart. Such a good American citizen. ❤️ππΊπΈ
The kids were amazing on the drive with no complaining, even when our trip was extended by 2 hours because of construction traffic.
All the kiddos got along so well throughout the visit we all agreed we may be willing to do it again sometime. Which is good because it's nice to not say see you never to friends you like.
Thea Sized Bed
Thea got a Thea-sized bed today!! We were all very excited about this and have been pumping it up for at least a week.
This morning, Mike and the kids broke down the crib:
Then, Floppy had to be introduced to the new bed:
This was adorable as she sweetly explained to Floppy that they had a new bed and carefully laid her down.
Matthew has been just as excited about Bean's new bed and wanted to check out the snooze materials too. Daddy was asked to read one of their favorites before bed, "Yummy, Yucky." Thea crawled under the covers herself saying "Awesome!" and requested that the book be read in her room.
With this being our second child, these moments seem to sneak up on you. All of sudden, Thea seems to be growing up so fast. Mike and I just kept smiling and savoring the moments tonight, while also hoping that I can get the position of little spoon back:

Kids Quotes XVIII
We went to the library tonight to return a few things and while Mike ran in, the following occured:
Matthew: I wanna go inside and play.
Mommy: I'm sorry, Buddy. Daddy's just running in to return a few things and then we're going home 'cause it's almost bedtime.
Matthew starts to legit cry (but, no, he's not tired, just ask him).
Mommy: Buddy, I'm planning on us coming back to pick out some movies tomorrow and we can plan then with the iPads and toys.
Matthew nods and tears start to dry and he asks me for a book in the pocket on the seat in front of him.
And then Matthew throws the book at Mommy.
Yeeeeaaahhh, that's a time-out when we get home.

Kids Quotes XXVII
A little context: my mom has recently had hernia surgery and we were driving in the car on the way to her house to deliver a meal.
Mommy: Remember we need to be careful around Grandma because she had surgery this week so she has a pretty big owie on her belly.
Matthew: So we can't spin Grandma around in circles?
Mommy: No, we can't do that.*
Matthew: Yeah, cause that would give her an owie.
*And we never have.
